Bella Italia!

Here in Paris, very belated with the posts... Things have been so happily intense here, that I have barely time to sit in front of the computer, and what it is far worst is to choose in between our 10 Gh of photos that we have taken so far!!!... but lets get to the point...

We flew from Madrid to London and from London to Palermo... a very very very long trip, with delayed planes, missed buses and planes, train through London, etc... exhausting. When we finally got to Palermo, late that Saturday night (15 Sept) we stayed at our friend, Antonio's appartement, whom was actually waiting us in an island, and where we went the day after... but that is for another post.
Here I post some photos of the city of Palermo which we took before leaving for the island to meet Antonio...

Acá en Paris, muy retrasada con los posts... Las cosas han sido tan felizmente intensas por acá que apenas tengo tiempo para sentarme frente a la computadora y lo que es aún peor es elegir las fotos entre los 10 Ghz que tenemos por ahora!!!... pero vayamos al grano...

Volamos desde Madrid a Londres y de allí a Palermo... un viaje muy muy muy pero muy largo, con aviones demorados, buses y aviones perdidos, tren a través de Londres, etc... extenuenate. Cuando finalmente llegamos a Palermo, tarde por la noche del Sábado (15 Sept), nos quedamos en el departamento de nuestro amigo Antonio, quien nos estaba esperando en una isla a la cual fuimos el día siguiente, aunque eso es para otro post.

Hi everyone!...just a quick update while we are waiting for our flight to go from London to Montpellier. It is 3.30 am and we still have some more hours to hold on to...
Thanks for all the support that I received via email for my conference!...
It went very good, I was shaking like a leaf in autumn but I got to end my presentation. I met the people that I was interested in meeting and of course I met much more and great people...
So professionally could not be better and socially as well.

Hello from Madrid, and a short and quick introduction, to what will come on this blog.
So we arrived this morning at 8 o'clock (3 o'clock Argentina) after a long long trip, three airplanes, three airports, inmigrations, etc... I don't know how is that I am still up, due to we basically walked our butts off through Madrid, we went over to the Reina Sofía's Museum, ate some tapas, drank some sidra (of course me, not Scott) and now 9.30 pm we are about to crash in our so comfy beds...
The schedule is as follows, Madrid, Palermo (Italy) and France (Montpellier and Paris), that is what we have in our hands to do... we will see how things turn out...
Tired and happy!...
The idea is to post the some photos, 'cause if I write over here, I won't write my personal diary, so imagination is required!!..

Hola desde Madrid, con una corta y rápida introducción sobre lo que vendrá en este blog.
Asi que llegamos esta mañana a las 8 (3 de la mañana hora Argentina), luego de un viaje bien largo, 3 aviones, 3 aeropuertos, migraciones, etc... La verdad no se como es que aún estoy en pie, ya que nos caminamos todo Madrid, fuimos al Museo de la Reina Sofia, comimos tapas, tomamos sidra (por supuesto, yo!) y ahora 9.30 hs estoy a punto de caer en estas camas tan cómodas...
Entonces lo que sigue es Madrid, Palermo (Italia) y Francia (Montpellier y Paris), esto es lo que tenemos en manos... pero veremos como resultan las cosas...
Cansada y feliz!...
La idea es postear algunas fotos, ya que si escribo acá no voy a escribir mi diario personal, por lo que se requiere imaginación!!!...

This Sunday, Fernando and a friend Yushike, came over to Luli and Nico's house to prepare some sushi... after a 7 kg. salmon!!!... so you can imagine we had plenty!...
it was so much fun, we were all afternoon until almost midnight preparing it. We had so much that everybody could took some home!.
I don't know how say thanks enough...

Este Domingo, Fernando y un amigo, Yushike, vinieron a lo de Luli y Nico para preparar sushi... a partir de un salmón de 7 kg!!!... asi que se pueden imaginar que tuvimos bastante!...
Fue muy divertido, estuvimos toda la tarde hasta casi la medianoche preparando. Había tanto que todos nos pudimos llevar a casa!
No tengo palabras suficientes de agradecimiento...

Saturday night we had some appetizers and as the main dish we had some lomo and colita de cuadril barbecued and marinated mushrooms grilled as well. Various greens salad with raspberry dressing... as dessert I prepared this mousse...

El Sábado por la noche hicimos una picada y como plato principal lomo y colita de cuadril y también unos hongos marinados, todo asado. Ensalada de varios verdes con vinagreta de frambuesa... como postre preparé este mousse...

Scott's turtle Dharma passed away yesterday... Even though it was a short life with us, we got to love her particular signs.... She will be missed.

Friday night... rainy and cold night... We met over with some friends to eat the chinese version of the Japanese Shabu-shabu: Huo Guo in a restaurante called Pekin in Almagro.
I must say that it was a plus to go to a chinese restaurante with native chinese girls which took care of ordering!.

The tables were separated in individual rooms, so it can be an intimate experience...

The food consisted in a very hot and spicy soup that was boiling in the middle and a lot of treats to cook inside it, like beef, lamb, pork, veggies, noodles, tofu, mushrooms... a lot of different stuff.

Viernes por la noche, lluviosa y muy fria... Nos juntamos con unos amigos para comer la versión china del Shabu-shabu japonés: Huo Guo en un restaurante llamado Pekin en Almagro.

La verdad es que fue un extra ir con nativos de China, quienes se encargaron de ordenar!.

Las mesas están separadas en cuartos individuales, asi que puede ser una experiencia íntima...

La comida consistió en una sopa bien caliente y picante que hervía en el medio, y un montón de cosas para cocinar dentro, como carne de vaca, cerdo, cordero, verduras, fideos, tofu, hongos... y un montón de cosas más.
